Three ways I can do it

Close-up, moving through the room. I work the room in small groups, performing in your guests' own hands. It gets people talking to each other instead of standing in silence holding a drink, and it runs alongside your evening rather than interrupting it. Good for cocktail hours, client dinners and open houses.

Parlor, everyone seated. A seated set for roughly twenty to forty people, fifteen to thirty minutes, everyone facing the same direction. This is the one to choose when you want a shared moment the whole room talks about afterwards, and it sits neatly before an awards presentation or a speech.

Stage, for a bigger room. For a larger audience, a full stage show with sound and lighting. Bigger effects, built to read from the back of a ballroom. This suits an annual meeting, a conference evening or a company party where everyone is in one room together.

Which one fits your event

If your guests will be moving around and eating, close-up. If they will be sitting at tables with their attention free, parlor. If you have a stage, a screen and a few hundred people, the stage show.

Tell me the room, the headcount and the running order and I will tell you honestly which of the three will land best. Sometimes the answer is two of them across one evening.

Where I work

I am based in Southeast Michigan and travel up to two hundred miles. That covers metro Detroit, Oakland County, Ann Arbor, Novi, Dearborn, Bloomfield Hills, Farmington Hills and the surrounding area. I have worked country clubs, restaurants, banquet centers and private venues across the region.

Common questions

How much does a corporate magician cost?

Events start at $500. A parlor set or a stage show for a larger room costs more than strolling close-up, because it is a different kind of booking. Tell me your date, your location and the format and I will send a custom quote.

How far in advance should we book?

December fills up first. If you are planning a holiday party, reach out in September or October. For the rest of the year a few weeks is usually enough, though good dates go early.

What do you need from me?

For close-up, very little. A clear space to work and somewhere to park. For a parlor set I ask for a defined performing area and a short break in service so the room can watch. For a stage show I will need a microphone and a soundcheck window.
