Every wedding has a gap. The cocktail hour, or the lull after the meal before the dancing. Magic fills it, and gets your two families talking to each other.
Close-up, moving through the room. The usual choice for a wedding. I work the room in small groups during the cocktail hour, so nobody is left standing alone while you are away having photographs taken.
Parlor, everyone seated. A seated set after the meal, while everyone is still at their tables and the room has gone quiet. Fifteen to thirty minutes with the whole room together, before the dancing starts. If you want one moment your guests all share, this is it.
Stage, for a bigger room. For a large reception with a stage and a sound system already in place, a full show. Worth considering if you have a hundred and fifty or more guests and a natural break in the evening.
This matters, so I will say it plainly. I am there to make your guests feel looked after, not to put on a show about me. I keep it warm, I keep it clean, and I never interrupt a speech, a first dance or a photograph.
If you would rather I stayed in the background entirely, close-up does that. If you want one proper set piece, the parlor set does that. Your call, and there is no wrong answer.

Plus Detroit itself, Grosse Pointe and the Pointes, Dearborn and the downriver cities, Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County, and out to Lansing, Port Huron, Monroe and Jackson when the date works. Weddings mostly happen in the banquet centers, country clubs and hotels across the region, and I have worked a lot of them.

Events start at $500. Strolling through a cocktail hour and a seated parlor set are priced differently, so I send a custom quote once I know your date, your venue and which you want.
Most receptions want between ninety minutes and two hours of strolling. A parlor set is shorter and more concentrated, usually fifteen to thirty minutes.
Not for close-up. That happens in your guests' hands and needs nothing at all. A parlor set needs a clear spot to stand and a quiet room. Only the full stage show needs sound.
